Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit Kazakhstan in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the fundamental agreement on friendship and cooperation between the countries, RIA Novosti writes. “On May 25 we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fundamental agreement on friendship and cooperation and mutual aide. Some of the articles are outdated and we have outrun them with creation of the Customs Union. I would like us to not miss it and make certain amendments to the Agreement and prolong it for another 10 years or so. I can invite you for a visit to Kazakhstan,” Nazarbayev said at the meeting with Putin. “I accept it with pleasure,” Russian President said. Russia’s President also noted that many ideas in relations between Russia and Kazakhstan have been successfully implemented. “I am glad that all our joint ideas have been implemented into certain deeds and we have a good launching pad to go further,” Putin said.
